Authenticity Overview

Our premium service is available to individuals and auction houses who would like an “authenticity overview” of an entire collection. The overview consists of a series of preliminary opinions which comment on the probability of a work being genuine or not — allowing the owner to decide if a full authentication report is warranted. We define a preliminary opinion as a short concise email which offers a “thumbs up” or “thumbs down” opinion on each painting.

Rates:

Up to 20 works — $5,000
21 to 40 works — $7,500
41 to 60 works — $9,500

Informed Opinion Service

Richard Polsky Art Authentication’s core service verifies the work of seven artists. We also have the expertise to authenticate a number of other artists from the Abstract Expressionist era and Pop art era. In this case, we offer what we refer to as an “Informed Opinion.” We define this as a written report outlining why we believe a work is probably genuine or not. This allows the owner or potential owner to make an informed decision on whether to pursue further authentication work (such as scientific analysis), insure the piece, consider donating it, or selling it. Most important of all, our Informed Opinion lets you know what you have.
